Limited Edition Cane Creek Headset

Posted in Custom Builds by hollywoodprobicycles on February 24, 2008

canecreek1_web.jpgSo last week Chris and Scott took a trip to Minneapolis for “Frostbike”.  And what was the shops reward for braving the sinful cold of the north?  This beautiful Titanium headset.  And that’s right, it has Maple inlays.  Cane Creek made 50 of these little wonders and we at Hollywood Pro are the proud foster parents.  So come by and take a look…but give us a little more time before you try taking him off our hands.

NEW FRAMES AND BIKES IN STOCK

We just got a few of the 2008 BMC frames in stock the other day.  At the same time we built up two new high end road bikes for the shop.  We think they really represent their brands well.  We built a wonderful black and yellow BMC Road Racer with Shimano Ultegra components and Mavic Ksyrium Equipe wheels.  We also built a Ridley Damocles with full Campagnolo Chorus and Campy Eurus wheels.  Since both manufacturers make frames only we custom built them in house as an example of what we can do for anybody who comes in.  They’re both smooth and slick bikes that are anxious for new homes.

ANOTHER SURLY BUILT AS A THOROUGHBRED TOURER

Posted in Custom Builds, Kieth B. Build, Surly Bikes by hollywoodprobicycles on January 16, 2008

dsc01754.jpg Kieth B. came in wanting a bike for reliable long touring and we found him just the ticket.  This Surly Long Haul’s got SKS Fenders, front and rear Tubus racks, Ortlieb panniers and all of the other fixings.  Here are some photos of the progress. dsc01753.jpg

It’s surprising what a little powder coating can do.  I think he looks happy.

BEAUTIFUL CLASSICALLY STYLED TOURING BIKE

Posted in Alistair N. Build, Custom Builds, Surly Bikes by hollywoodprobicycles on January 13, 2008

HeadlightWe’ve had a surge in Surly Long Haul Trucker interest in the last few days.  Our favorite one had silver fenders, albatross handlebars and this great old classic headlight.  The Surly’s are truly the worlds sweetest touring bikes out there.  Smooth riding steel and tank-like construction make it a sure winner.
